Reboot Your Brain and Free Up Valuable Mind R.A.M.

Filed under: Mind Set, Work From Home — ideas4life @ 1:47 pm

I have just completed the best 67 minutes and 41 seconds spent in a long time!

For those of you who the inside of your head feels like cotton wool because of all the ’stuff’ in there and you are spinning your wheels trying to get your work from home business started… THIS IS A MUST SEE – MUST DO!

John Reese has posted a video about his brain dump method he calls…

Reboot Your Brain
How to Quickly and Easily Start Getting Anything You Want
And INSTANTLY Experience a Higher Level of Thinking!

Free to anyone who is interested – Hype free – Sales free – Set your mind free.

It may appear over simplistic but then the most profound concepts often appear that way.

At first glance the method may seem familiar, many others have touched on the basic concept, but John presents his method from 15 years of first hand experience and development

I have written a brief overview for you here but you need to see the video once you have read this.

=================================================

Reboot Your Brain Requirements

  • Get yourself three legal pads or note books. Label one “TO DO”,
label another one “DESIRES” and label the last one “FEARS”.
  • Grab your favorite pen.
  • Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed for an hour or so to work.
  • Repeat this process at least once a month

8 Basic Steps to Reboot Your Brain

1. Go on a TO DO Expedition
Write a complete list of all the things you need to do in your TO DO notebook. This includes all aspects of your life. Home, Family, Work, Health and Fitness, financial obligations, Social obligations, all those things you have been putting off, as many you can think of until you have exhausted those nagging to do items. Now take a short break.

2. Go on a DESIRE Adventure
Write a complete list of all the things you want to have and accomplish in your DESIRE notebook. Again this includes all aspects of your life. Think if the sky was the limit and money wasn’t an object what would you do, where would you live, what would you own… Get excited – Dream Big! Write it all down and get it out of your system. Now take another short break.

3. Go on a FEAR Discovery
Write a complete list of all the things you are afraid of in your FEAR notebook. Again this includes all aspects of your life. Are you afraid of being poor, old, sick, dying, being robbed, your children being snatched, what people think of you, spiders, heights… What are the fears holding you back from doing what you need to do and getting what you want.

4. Review Your Work.
READ OUT LOUD all your entries in the order you wrote them starting with your To DO, then DESIRES then FEARS.

5. Add New Entries
As you are reading you may have new thoughts pop into your head. Write these down on the appropriate list.

6. Examine Fear Entries
As you read these think of possible solutions to overcome or minimize them. If the solutions require actions put them on your TO DO List with a notation that they are Fear Solutions and strike off your FEAR List. If you discover new desires add these to your DESIRE List.

7. Examine Desire Entries
As you read these think of possible solutions so you can acquire them. If the solutions require actions put them on your TO DO List with a notation that they are Desire Solutions and strike off your DESIRE List as they are fulfilled. If you discover new fears add these to your FEAR List.

8. Prioritize Your TO DO List
Decide what is most immediate and take action. Focus on today’s actions and just do it. When you have completed the task put a big strike through it and date it. You will be amazed at how good it feels to do that.

Dealing with Fears and Problems.
Your fears and problems can immobilize you. They can control your life.

It is very tempting to sweep them under the carpet, put them in the too hard basket and bury your head in the sand. However not facing your fears and problems uses up a lot of space on the hard drive inside your head even on an unconscious level.

Get them out of there, put them down on paper, have a good look at them from a new perspective. Bring them down to size, laugh at them, whittle away at them with action.

Be aware of John calls the “Hope Factor”. You have been offered a wonderful gift to help you improve your life. Don’t put it on the shelf, walk away and say “I hope things will get better now I know this”.

Apply what I like to call the “Nike Factor” – Just DO It!

Don’t let the fear of failure hold you back. Failure is necessary to Success. It is your barometer, your bio-feedback monitor. Like pain, failure tells you something isn’t right so you had better fix it.

The biggest regret is not that of failure
but that you never tried.

Is Your Job Stealing Your Life Away?

ARRRGGGHHH! What a WEEK! – Do you sometimes feel that the universe is conspiring against you?

It was the last week of the school holidays and I was looking forward to spending some time with my kids. I work full time (and couldn’t get any time off) but I thought well, we could do some stuff after work as it didn’t really matter if they had late nights as they could sleep in the next day.

We are in the midst of a major (and I am talking on the international scale) shake-up at work and the place is like a mad house! Instead of being able to spend extra time with the girls I ended up working longer days! 10 hours plus in fact! So much for good intentions…

..And my work colleagues wonder why I want to leave my ‘valuable job’ to work from home. They all think I’m mad!

It got me thinking about the whole “go to school-get an education-so you can get a good job” belief system that we all buy into. This fantasy perpetrated by society that having a job is the panacea for all your problems.

Like the masses I used to believe it too but there has been a fundamental shift in my thinking. Don’t get me wrong, I need money as much as the next guy and I am not a lazy person by nature.

During the ten year period where I was unable to work because of a work related injury, my self esteem took an enormous nose dive. Why? Because I believed that the only way I could earn money was to have a job and because I didn’t have one I therefore must be somehow less than those that work. I wish I knew then what I know now.

Well I have been back in the work force for five plus years now and I have come to realise that this thinking really limits your ability to live your life abundantly. I’m not just talking about financial abundance but also personal growth, self worth, happiness, a sense of purpose, and such like.

The job concept is so ingrained into our unconscious that the very idea of leaving our job to work from home is so foreign to the average person that it is unthinkable. We would rather stay within the safety of the job tread-wheel of “commute – put in our 8-10 hour day – commute – blob out – sleep”. Few rarely consider getting off the round-about ride to drive a real sports car, ride a real horse, or fly a real plane. Of course I am speaking metaphorically.

It can be scary to switch mind-set and it will mean massive amounts of learning and it does require extra work initially and you will need courage but it the long run it will be worth it because you will have become the owner of your own destiny; the creator of your own life-style; the maker of your own decisions.

If you are uncomfortable with the status quo and you are at the point of screaming “Stop the world… I want to get off!” Do seriously consider how you can work from home.

If however you don’t like the thought of having all that responsibly and the potential it will bring, go to work tomorrow and the next day and the next day and the next day and be content.
